Prince Oberyn Martell, commonly referred to as the Red Viper
of Dorne, was a member of House Martell, the ruling family of Dorne, and the
younger brother of Doran Martell and the late Elia Martell, and the father of
eight bastard girls known as the Sand Snakes. He is well known for his fighting
skills, passionate temper, and sexual appetites.
He was killed by the Mountain.
