Lieutenant First Class Ellen Louise Ripley. Status; Deceased. Born: January 7, 2092 in Olympia, Luna, United Americas. Deceased as of August 11, 2179 Fiorina 161 Correctional Facility. Ellen Ripley was a civilian adviser to the United States Colonial Marine Corps and a hugely influential figure in humanity's encounters with the species Xenomorph XX121. She was the mother of Amanda Ripley-McClaren and the forebear of Alan Decker. Beginning her career as a warrant officer with Weyland-Yutani's commercial freight operations, she was assigned to the USCSS Nostromo in 2122 when it encountered a single Xenomorph unintentionally collected from the planetoid LV-426. The event led to the death of the rest of her crew Arthur Dallas, Captain. Thomas Kane, Executive Officer. Ellen Ripley, Warrant Officer. Ash, Science Officer. Joan Lambert, Navigation Officer. Dennis Parker, Chief Engineer. Samuel Brett, Engineering Technician. Kane became the first documented case of a Xeno morph infection of a human. The Xeno Morph killed each other other crew member. Ripley survived be ejecting the ships light Shuttle, Narcissus. And destroying The Nostromo by detonating its reactor. She would encounter the Xeno Morph species again on LV 178. Then again on return to LV 426 attached to a Colonial Marine unit. Though she survived both these encounters, She was ultimately infected with a Xeno morph implant during deep cryo sleep travel enroute to Earth.

This I have actually seen, a work beyond words. For if anyone put together the buildings of the
Greeks and display of their labours, they would seem lesser in both effort and expense to this labyrinth… Even the pyramids are beyond words, and each was equal to many and mighty works of the Greeks. Yet the labyrinth surpasses even the pyramids.

These are the words of ancient Greek historian Herodotus written in the 5 th century BC (‘Histories’, Book, II, 148), describing a colossal temple said to contain 3,000 rooms full of hieroglyphs and paintings. It was named ‘Labyrinth’ by the Greeks after the complex maze of corridors designed by Daedalus for King Minos of Crete, where the legendary Minotaur dwelt. Yet today, nothing remains of this supposedly grand temple complex – at least not on the surface. The mighty labyrinth became lost to the pages of history.
